To entrance of the magnificent valley of Fontaine Froide which leads to Bouilland, Savigny les Beaune displays its vintage wines with melodious names at feet of hillsides and over the sides, to establish one of the most vast vineyards of Côte d’Or, which all the year round, and which offers to the visitor a landscape with changeable colors. The always proximate forest, occupies the horizon, and offers a vast domain, about 2000 hectares, conducive to pleasant walks. In the heart of this natural site, the village reveals a historic and architectural heritage of the most interesting, can be found by amateur or curious walker.

THE VINEYARD AND THE WINE

Step of the « Route des Grands Crus », in Côte de Beaune, Savigny offers all the charms of a viticultural village: landscapes with changeable tints, village with small picturesque alleys and the tasting of famous wine in the coolness of cellars.

All year round, the savigniens vintners take care of their vines and their visitors. They will make you discover their productions of white or red, Bourgogne, Savigny and Savigny « Premier Cru ».

BURGUNDY

With about 25 000 hectares of vineyards in production, classified in Controlled Origin Label (A.O.C) and a volume of harvest about 1 350 000 hectolitres (180 million bottles), the vineyard of Bourgogne represents approximately 5% of the French production of A.O.C and occupies a dominant place in the regional economy. The vineyard of Bourgogne extends over 5 big flagship regions of production.

From north to south:

- the vineyards of Chablis, Auxerrois, Tonnerre, Joigny and Vézelay
- the vineyards of the Côte de Nuits, Hautes Côtes de Nuits and Châtillonnais
- the vineyards of the Côte de Beaune and the Hautes Côtes de Beaune
- the vineyards of Côte Chalonnaise and the Couchois and finally, the vineyard of Mâconnais.
